🌸 Our Story
Gracious & Tenacious, Inc. was founded in 2009 by LaKieva Meadows, who, through personal trials and spiritual reflection, discovered a divine calling to uplift women and girls. What began as “The Alabaster Box Children and Family Services” evolved in 2012 into Gracious & Tenacious — a name that embodies the heart of our mission.

Inspired by the biblical story of the Alabaster Box (Luke 7:36–50), and the symbolism of the Lion (strength, courage, dependence on God) and the Butterfly (transformation, renewal, and grace), our organization celebrates the journey of becoming — spiritually, emotionally, and personally.
🎶 A pivotal moment came while listening to India Arie’s “Lion and a Butterfly”, which beautifully captured the essence of womanhood: “a flower of power, everything and everything in between.” That message became our mantra.
